Academic Chronology

Dipta Prahar Dutt completed his graduation in Water Resources Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in March 2016. He also completed Master of Engineering in Water Resources Engineering from the same university in August 2023.



Professional Track Record

He started his career as Junior Engineer in Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since September 2016. He has involved in Feasibility Studies in many Schemes, water supply, flood management, urban drainage system and wastewater management projects. He has comprehensive experience in field visits with study team, primary data collection using data collection tools and techniques, processing, quality checking of secondary data and data analysis using statistical tools, checking & preparation of reports. Experienced in monitoring, supervision & review design documents at implementation phase, AutoCAD drawings, preparation of database in various projects, attending various project meetings, Technical and Masterplan, Feasibility and Design report writing and overall project management works. Conducted stakeholder’s discussion and FGDs through participatory approach. Experienced in hydraulic modelling in different software i.e., Bentley SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, MIKE+, Delft3D, HEC-RAS etc. and Google imagery and GIS mapping and database, qualitative and quantitative research and disseminating project outcomes to various stakeholders via workshops, seminars and meetings.
