Academic Chronology
Mr. Md. Saiful Islam completed his graduation in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in March 2009 and completed M.Sc. in Water Resources Engineering from the same university in April 2015.
Professional Track Record
Mr. Md. Saiful Islam has a professional career of eight years in the field of water resources Engineering & Geotechnical Engineering. At the early stage he developed Direction wise Earthquake Intensity Attenuation Model for Bangladesh when he was worked as a research engineer in BUET.As a Water Resource Engineer, he has developed his professional career in Institution of Water Modelling since August 2010. He is responsible for developing the computational 1D and 2D hydraulic models for water resources management /projects, studies and researches, and enhancement of hydraulic modelling application in Bangladesh. Hisprofessional career is focused on hydrology, coastal and estuarine hydraulics, flood management, river and floodplain engineering, cyclonic storm surge, salinity intrusion and river survey work. His professional experience through involvement in water resources/river engineering/coastal engineering projects in Bangladesh (mainly hydrological analysis for catchment from basin to sub-basin scale, integrated coastal zone management, flood risk assessment and associated drainage strategy, river morphology and cyclonic storm surge induced disaster assessment etc.He is capable of writing reports, making presentation and training to junior level engineers. He is also capable of project management both technical & financial-human resource control, budget control, time control, attending progress meeting, quality control, proposal preparation, contract preparation.
