Academic Chronology
Md. Sakibuzzaman graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017.
Professional Track Record
Md. Sakibuzzaman has been working as a professional in the field of water resources engineering for more than five years at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM). Since joining the Coast, Port & Inland Water Ways Management Division (CPI) as a Junior Engineer on 22 January 2019, he has played a significant role in various major projects. His responsibilities encompass conducting pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, and implementing and monitoring studies related to flood management, river engineering, coastal engineering, navigation, climate change and inundation mapping for flooding. He engages in data processing, analysis, and visualization using tools such as MS Excel, ArcGIS, and Python. Md. Sakibuzzaman has expertise in developing rainfall-runoff models with NAM, hydrodynamic modeling using MIKE11, and storm surge modeling with MIKE21.
