Professional Track Record
Mr. Nahiduzzaman began his career as a site engineer with Mohammad Juma Mabrook L.L.C (Oman) in January 2009. He was involved in land survey, quality control and quantity estimation in the waste-water project at Muscat, Oman during 2009. In 2010, he joined Development Construction Limited (DCL) as a site engineer in the Hatirjheel Integrated Development Project. In 2011, he joined the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) as a Junior Engineer. After that, Mr. Nahiduzzaman was involved in development and application of hydrological, hydrodynamic, morphological, storm surge and wave model in different water resources management project in Bangladesh. He also developed his expertise in the field of hydrographic and topographic survey, data collection and analysis. He conducted several feasibility and hydro-morphological studies as project leader. Mr. Nahiduzzaman has been working as a Senior Specialist in the Coast Port and Inland Water Ways Management Division (CPI) of IWM since January 2022.
Training/Membership/Workshop/Seminar/Publication etc.
Mr. Nahiduzzaman received specialized training in Hydrodynamic and Rainfall Runoff modelling in MIKE 11, Cyclonic Storm Surge and Wave modelling in MIKE21FM and MIKE SW, measuring land subsidence, SWAP-WOFOST modelling, Water Quality modelling using Ecolab, Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) modelling, Environmental Noise Prediction modelling, and ArcGIS Desktop 10.1. His research interests include hydrodynamic and morphological modelling of the coastal area, drainage modelling of coastal polders, storm surge and wave modelling of Bay of Bengal coast. In addition, he is interested in modeling of tidal river management (TRM) with the purpose of improving the drainage system and managing sediment in the South-West coastal region of Bangladesh. Mr. Nahiduzzaman is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.
